Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) – Insurance & TPA Services

What is the process for a planned admission using insurance or TPA?

After consulting with your doctor, our TPA coordinator or billing team will collect your insurance details and submit a pre-authorisation request to your insurer. Once approved, your admission and treatment will be scheduled in coordination with you.

How is emergency admission handled under insurance?

In case of emergencies, the patient is admitted immediately without delay. Post-admission, we send your diagnosis, treatment plan, and insurance details to the TPA/insurance provider to initiate authorisation. Approval is processed while treatment continues.

What documents are required for cashless admission?

To avail of cashless hospitalisation, please present:
– Insurance/TPA Photo ID Card
– Government-issued photo ID (Aadhar, PAN, Passport, etc.)
– Doctor’s prescription or referral letter (for planned admission)
– Any prior medical records, if available

What expenses are not covered under cashless hospitalisation?

Expenses that are not covered by your policy – such as non-medical items, exclusions under policy terms, or charges exceeding the sum insured – must be paid by the patient at the time of discharge.

Will I have to pay anything at discharge?

Yes, if your treatment cost exceeds the policy limit or includes services not covered under your policy, you will need to settle the difference at discharge.

Our dedicated TPA and insurance helpdesk is here to assist you with all questions regarding policy coverage, cashless processes, and claims.
